- Open Users.csv in the attached zip file, then add the source and target user logins to create a mapping template. Note: Do not change the column headings in the file.
- Edit the GenerateMLM_FileShareEdition.ps1 file using any script or text editor (e.g. Notepad).
- Set the following variables:
$csvFile, which represents the location where Users.csv file was saved
$outFile, which represents the location where the MLM file will be generated
$version, which represents the Content Matrix Console version
- Save the file, then run it in a PowerShell console or scripting environment.
- In the Content Matrix Console - File Share Edition, create a new job to migrate files/folders to a SharePoint site.
- On the job configuration window, click on the Permissions Options tab, enable the "Migrate users using explicit user mappings" option, the click on the "Edit Users" button.
- On the right side of the UI in Active Directory Principal to SharePoint Principal Mappings window go to source and select any of the target sites from the drop down list selection, otherwise next step will not work and you will receive Failed load Mapping : Object reference not to set an Instance of an Object error.
- On the Active Directory Principal to SharePoint Principal Mappings window, click File > Load Mappings, select the generated MLM file from step 4, then click OK.
