For each Report Pack you have installed, reference the Release Notes to determine the version of the Report Pack included in the MessageStats installation package. The Release Notes for each Report Pack can be found in the Platforms\<ReportPack> directory where you extracted the installation package. If the version of the Report Pack is higher than the one installed you will need to upgrade the Report Pack.
To upgrade the Report Packs if the MessageStats database is not hosted on an SQL cluster and the MessageStats service account has the necessary rights to modify the database tables:

Open the Platforms directory from the location where you extracted the contents of the installation zip file

Open the corresponding folder for a Report Pack you have installed

Run the EXE file with the MessageStats service account credentials and ensure all of the components are selected to be installed

Complete the installation wizard for the Report Pack

Repeat steps 2-4 for each Report Pack that needs to be upgraded
To upgrade the Report Packs if the MessageStats database is hosted on an SQL cluster, the MessageStats service account does not have the necessary rights to modify the database tables or the database needs to be updated manually by your DBA:

Open the SQL\Platforms directory from the location where you extracted the contents of the installation zip file

Copy the SQL scripts for each Report Pack you have installed to your SQL server

Launch SQL Server Management Studio

Connect to the SQL Server that is hosting the MessageStats Database (for example, Server Type = Database Engine, Server Name = SQL Server Name and Authentication = either Windows Authentication or SQL Server Authentication

Expand SQL Server Name

Expand Databases
-
Right click the MessageStats Database and select New Query
-
After the Query window opens, select the File | Open | File
-
Locate the SQL script for one of the installed Report Packs that you copied over from Step 2 and open it
-
Provide either Windows Authentication or SQL Server Authentication, click Connect
-
Select the Query Menu and then Execute. (Select the MessageStats Database)
-
Repeat steps 7-11 for each installed Report Pack

Open the Platforms directory from the location where you extracted the contents of the installation zip file
-
Open the corresponding folder for a Report Pack you have installed
-
Run the EXE file with the MessageStats service account credentials and do not select the Database component
-
Complete the installation wizard for the Report Pack

Repeat steps 13-16 for each Report Pack that needs to be upgraded
