After upgrade existing tasks do not start -
Description
After upgrading to a newer version of MessageStats, all tasks seemed to be stuck, however if you create a new task as a test, it would run without problems. -
Cause
The tasks are still pointed to use the old directory named Quest Software. -
Resolution
Follow these steps to resolve this problem:1) Open services.msc and stop the Dell MessageStats Scheduler service2) Find the old installation directory. If you are upgrading from 7.2 or earlier this should be the default installation path:C:\Program Files\Quest Software\MessageStats2) Locate the tasks folder and copy it.3) Paste the tasks folder into the new installation directory. If you are installating 7.3 or a newer version this is the default path:C:\Program Files (x86)\Dell\MessageStats4) Re-start the service (Dell MessageStats scheduler service)5) Check and see if the tasks are now running.
