Recommended Gathering Configuration For MessageStats (4253749)

Is there a recommended gathering configuration for Messagestats that will allow all reports to be populated?

In most environments it is recommended to run a single gathering task against the entire Exchange Organization, daily using the "Exchange Default Gathering" template. This will populate most reports.

Additional gatherings are required to populate the "Content Analysis", "Public Folder" and "Mailboxes | Mailbox Security" reports and can be run less frequently than the Default Gathering.

The "Exchange Default Gathering" template is the most comprehensive gathering task, and is an aggrigate of many other tasks. This template is not to be confused with the "Exchange Complete Gathering" which despite it's name, does not gather as much information, or populate as many reports as the "Default" template.

It is Highly recommended that when scheduling your daily gathering that it be scheduled for after Midnight UTC time. This will ensure that MessageStats is able to gather the most current MessageTracking logs from your Exchange servers, which are not released until Midnight UTC. When scheduling the gathering the Local time can be adjusted, and the time in UTC is displayed beside it, for easy reference.
