How to manually upgrade the BlackBerry Report Pack (4235653)

It is assumed that the Messagestats console and database have already been installed using the Messagestats documentation. 

These instructions apply to version 7.1 or later:

1. Open the folder where you extracted the MessageStats 7.1 installation package
2. Open SQL | ReportPacks | BlackBerry
3. Copy the QmsBlackBerryDatabase.sql file to the SQL server where the MessageStats database is hosted
4. Launch SQL Server Management Studio, or SQL Server Manager
5. Connect to the SQL Server hosting the MessageStats Database (for example, Server Type = Database Engine, Server Name = SQL Server Name and Authentication = either Windows Authentication or SQL Server Authentication
6. Expand SQL Server Name
7. Expand Databases
8. Right click the MessageStats Database and select New Query
9. After the Query window opens, select the File | Open | File
10. Locate the QmsBlackBerryDatabase.sql file
11. Provide either Windows Authentication or SQL Server Authentication, click Connect
12. Select the Query Menu and then Execute

After completing the above steps on the SQL Server you will then need to run the Quest MessageStats BlackBerry.exe on the Messagestats console machine:

1. Log onto the machine hosting the Messagestats console as the MessageStats service account
2. Open the folder where you extracted the MessageStats 7.1 installation package
3. Open ReportPacks | BlackBerry
4. Run the Quest MessageStats BlackBerry.exe
5. When prompted to install features, deselect the Database component
6. Complete the rest of the install wizard
