Windows Mobile Device History report returns active users with a recent Last Successful Sync howe (4229390)

Noticed one or more users that return a recent Last Successful Sync date in the Device History report. The user(s) does not show up in the Active Devices report.

Device used is actively syncing multiple user mailboxes at the same time. The user account on the device that has the most recent "Last Successful Sync" at the time of the Windows Mobile Device Gathering will be displayed in the Active Devices report. The user account prior to the most recent Last Successful sync will be displayed in the Device History Report and not the Active Devices Report.

This can be tested by running the Device History report and filtering by Device ID. You can then see that the device is syncing two user accounts but the latest "Last Successful Sync" is the only user for the Device ID displayed in the Active Devices report.

Enhancement Request TF00178380 has been submitted to Development so that the Active Devices report supports devices that are actively syncing multiple user mailboxes at the same time.
