The SQL script for the OWA 1.1.3 Report Pack are located in the MessageStats 6.9 Installation Package under the following path: SQL\Platforms\OWA.
It is assumed that the Messagestats console and database has already been installed using the Messagestats documentation.
Before starting make sure no tasks are running and the MessageStats console is closed.
Step 1
1. Launch SQL Server Management Studio.
2. Connect to the SQL Server that is hosting the MessageStats Database (for example, Server Type = Database Engine, Server Name = SQL Server Name and Authentication = either Windows Authentication or SQL Server Authentication.
3. Expand SQL Server Name.
4. Expand Databases.
5. Copy the OWA SQL Script to the SQL Server where the MessageStats database resides.
6. Right click the MessageStats Database and select New Query.
7. After the Query window opens, select the File | Open | File.
8. Locate the QmsOwaDatabase.sql SQL Script and open it.
9. Provide either Windows Authentication or SQL Server Authentication, click Connect.
10. Select the Query Menu and then Execute. (Select the MessageStats Database)
11. This will create all the tables and updates required for the OWA Report Pack
Step 2
After completing the above steps on the SQL Server you will then need to run the Quest MessageStats Report Pack for OWA.exe on the Messagestats console machine.
1. Log onto the machine hosting the Messagestats console with the MessageStats service account
2. Run the Quest MessageStats Report Pack for OWA.exe located in the Platforms\OWA directory of the MessageStats 6.9 Installation Package.
3. When prompted to install features - Deselect the Database component.
4. Continue the installer specifying the SQL server that hosts the Messagestats Database.
Note:
If the application has been installed before the database component has been updated Skip Step 2
1. On the MessageStats Server go to the install directory "C:\Program Files\Quest Software\MessageStats\" by default
2. Run the MigrateTasks.exe utility
