While running a default gathering the Exchange Mailbox gathering task is taking an extremely long time to complete, why?
Please run an NSlookup from the command line on the MessageStats console server. If it fails to resolve the DNS entries please check you DNS configuration on the network card(s) and make sure all entires are valid.
If the DNS entries need to be changed please run ipconfig /flushdns followed by ipconfig /registerdns to refresh the DNS table.
This will not take effect until the next time the gathering is run
