Cannot open backup device "\\Server-Name\Shared_folder$\xxxxx.bak", Operating System error 5 (err (51687)

Performing a Backup or Restore to a shared location managed by Distributed File System (DFS) results in error, see screenshot.

Windows user account may not have Read/Write access to folder.

Browse to DFS directory using Litespeed GUI backup wizard DESTINATION DISK SCREEN . If unable to browse to DFS directory, manually add DFS path in GUI backup wizard, DESTINATION DISK SCREEN; "\\Server-Name\Shared_folder$\xxxxx.bak"

If this still doesn't allow access, verify permissions with your windows/system engineer.
