Automated restore fails with error "not a valid pathname in directory" when database/index with a filestream filegroup in it. -
Cause
When automated restore is used to restore a database/indes with a filestream filegroup in it. Automated restore will append the file groups directory to the default SQL data directory and use that as the "filename"This fails with an error such as the one below:Base path 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL11.CSRWORK\MSSQL\DATA\FS_newi:\1' is not a valid pathname in directory 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL11.CSRWORK\MSSQL\DATA\FS_newi:\1' -
Resolution
This is a known issue with the bug ID LS-1586.This issue is fixed on a special build, LiteSpeed 8.8.0.396Please contact Quest Support if you need to obtain LiteSpeed 8.8.0.396 or wait for the next GA release.
