How to update jobs created in earlier versions of LiteSpeed (4.x) to appear in the new LiteSpeed Activity Timeline on Version 5.x
After upgradingfrom a previous version of LiteSpeed, to Version 5.x, the timeline on the LiteSpeed Activity tab does not automatically show backup/restore jobs thathave beenscheduled in the Backup or Restore wizards. In addition, activity associated with maintenance plans will not appear. However, you can update these jobs and maintenance plans to make them appear in the timeline. -

Resolution
Steps to update backup/restore jobs:
1. Open the LiteSpeed Console and click the Job Manager pane.
2. Right-click the backup or restore job and select Edit Job.
3. Rename the job in the Job name field according to the following conditions:
Rename restore jobs to:
LiteSpeed Restore SERVER_NAME.database_name
Rename backup jobs to:
LiteSpeed Backup SERVER_NAME.database_name
If a database has more than one backup or restore job, type a space between the database name and index. For example:
YUKON.AdventureWorks
YUKON.AdventureWorks 2
YUKON.AdventureWorks 3
Be sure to use upper case letters for the server name. The case of the database name should match exactly thename as it displays in the LiteSpeed Console navigation pane.
4.SelectDescribe Job Stepsin the Tasks navigation pane and clickEdit.
5.To specify the databases involved in the job, insert a comment on the first line of theStatementfield with the following conditions:Begin the comment with/**and end it with**/Specify the databases inside {}. Use a semicolon as a separator. For example:
{northwind;pubs;LiteSpeedLocal}{*system}includes all system databases{*user}includes all user databases{*}includes all databasesYou can use combinations of the previous conditions. For example:
{northwind;pubs;LiteSpeedLocal}{*system}includes all system databases plus those specified
