Using a DataDomain - does LiteSpeed support DD-Boost as a backup target or do we need to configure a CIFS folder or other filesystem as a target device? -
Description
We use LiteSpeed to backup our databases to a CIFS share on an EMC Data Domain device. Data Domain does the deduplication and encryption. LiteSpeed provides object level recovery. EMC provide "DD Boost for SQL Server" to enable some of the deduplication to happen on the database server. Will Quest provide integration to DD Boost in LiteSpeed?
We are implementing a DataDomain and need to know how to configure LiteSpeed to support this target location. Does LiteSpeed support DD-Boost as a backup target or do we need to configure a CIFS folder or other filesystem as a target device?
