When restoring a Double-Click Restore (DCR) EXE fle, the following error is thrown:
LiteSpeed for SQL Server could not create the virtual backup device for the database.

CAUSE 1
Product defect which prevents a DCR to be restored on systems with User Account Control (UAC) on.
CAUSE 2
DCR is being run from a remote host or client PC and not from a SQL Server machine.
WORKAROUND 1
Restore the DCR file on a server with UAC turned off.
WORKAROUND 2
Restore the DCR file on a server which has a local SQL Server instance.
STATUS
Fixed in version 6.0 of LiteSpeed for SQL Server. The latest version of LiteSpeed for SQL Server can be downloaded at:

Restore operations to SQL Server instances from remote clients are not supported. Therefore, the server instance supplied on the DCR dialog must be local. Also, right click the EXE and selecting Run As Administrator.
