Description
The 'LiteSpeed for SQL Server Update Native Backup statistics' job runs, by default, every 15 minutes.
The error message:
Login failed for user 'User_name'. [Client: 10.1.999.15 <IP Address of the server>]
Error: 18456, Severity 14, State 16. -
Cause
LiteSpeed for SQL Server Update Native Backup statistics runs:
exec [LiteSpeedLocal]..[LiteSpeed_ImportNativeHistory]
exec [master]..[xp_replicate_activity_statistics] -
Resolution
WORKAROUND:
Rerun the instance configuration again to disable it;
1. Select Start | all programs | Quest Software | LiteSpeed | Instance configuration.
2. Get to the screen where you have the option to choose native statistic update and change it to 'Do NOT collect native backup activity". Complete the wizard..-or-
2. In LiteSpeed Job Manager, disable the 'LiteSpeed for SQL Server Update Native Backup statistics' job
