Minimum permissions required
LiteSpeed must be installed under a Local Administrator account with SA rights on SQL Server to allow installation of the registry keys, files and extended stored procedures necessary, however a user account that will run backups/restores may be a Power User account.
Grant access to the Power User account to the LiteSpeed Extended Stored Procedures and Stored procedures - Stored procedures and tables that are created in local and central repository databases.
Grants granted - None
Rights assigned - Assigns the "service logon" right to the user account the statistics replication service runs under.
Grants required for install:
User must be able to install extended stored procedures, stored procedures, create databases, tables, and indexes. Requires permission to insert, update, and delete from MSDB and the local/central repositories.
Grants required to run:
You have to be a sysadmin to do a backup using LiteSpeed. If you use a SQL account the windows account can be a regular user. The user account owning the statistics replication service must have permission to insert, update, and delete from MSDB and the local/central repositories.
Rights required for install:
The installer needs to be run by an Administrator.
Rights required to run:
A Power User account is required.
