On an operator's computer where only the LiteSpeed Client has been installed and the operators are not Local Admins and error is continuously received when the operator tries to close Enterprise Console:
"Failed to set data for StatsEnabled"
It is not possible to close the Enterprise Console due to this error. The only way to close the Enterprise Console is to use Task Manager and perform an End Process.
Activity Logging is enabled and the operator does not have the correct permissions to update keys in the registry required by LiteSpeed for the Activity Statistics.
Disable Activity Logging by running the instance configuration and choosing 'Do Not Set Up Activity Logging' for the instance. This will disable Activity Logging and the Enterprise Console will close with out displaying the error message.
To fix the problem:
1. Open the Registry Editor (Regedit) and find the following key:
This is the key that stores the information related to the Activity Servers. Grant the user appropriate permissions to this key.
2. Run the instance configuration again to enable Activity Logging.
