Restore Amazon S3 "Cannot find table 0" error or is not in Native format [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 853) (4236025)

I am trying to restore a native backup directly from Amazon S3. I have tried setting up a direct restore using xp_restore_automated as well as running a one time restore through the UI. When I try to restore the backup through the UI, I get the message "Cannot find table 0" when trying to add the backup file.

When I try to restore using the extended stored procedure, I get the failure below.

The step failed.
