Manual backups work, but when the SQL Server Agent jobs try to run LiteSpeed backups, the job starts and shows that is executing for hours and the following errors occur:
"SQL Server Scheduled Job 'SLS DB Backup Job for DB Maintenance Plan 'Plan All Databases Full Backup'
' (0x73E55E3A39F77249B199C51ED4869A92) - Status: Failed
Invoked on: 2005-10-24 22:00:00 - Message: The job failed. The Job was invoked by Schedule 4 (Schedule 1).
The last step to run was step 1 (Step 1)."
"Reporting queued error: faulting application slssqlmaint.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module kernel32.dll, version 5.2.3790.1830, fault address 0x00015dea."
This problem occurs when the Maintenance Plan owner account does not have Local Administrator rights on the computer where the job is being run.
Ensure that the Owner of the Maintenance Plan is an account that has Administrator rights on the local computer.
To edit an existing maintenance plan:
1. Right-click on the Maintenance plan and select Edit Maintenance Plan.
2. On the General tab, verify the owner account associated with it has local Administrator rights.
Once the proper privileges are granted and verified, LiteSpeed for SQL Server will run without this error.
