Opening a folder in Windows Explorer

You can select a folder in Security Explorer® and open Windows® Explorer to the same location.

To open a folder in Windows Explorer

Open the NTFS Security or Share Security module.

Open the Browse tab.

In the Objects pane, select a folder, and select Tools | Open with Windows Explorer.

on the Tool Bar; or right-click an object, and choose Open with Windows Explorer.

	NOTE: The recommended approach when adding a new share is to browse to the source folder using the NTFS Security module.

To create a new share

Open the NTFS Security or Share Security module.

Open the Browse tab.

In the Objects pane, select the object in which to create the share.


	NOTE: In the Share Security module, you must select an existing share in the Objects pane so that the new share has the same path as the selected existing share.

Select Tools | Create Share.

Type a name for the share.

Type an optional free-form comment about the share.

Removing a share

To remove a share

Open the NTFS Security or Share Security module.

In the Objects pane, select the share.

Select Tools | Remove Share.
