About this release

Quest NetVault Backup (NetVault Backup) offers the most advanced, cross-platform data protection capabilities on the market and unsurpassed ease of use, out-of-the-box deployment, and pain-free scalability. New feature in NetVault Backup 12.2:

Added support for push installation on Linux platform. (Linux to Linux machine and Linux to Windows machine.) (DNAD-700).

Added support for snapshot-based backups on Huawei OceanStor Device Manager (NVBU-18267, NVBU-18265)

Added support for installing Catalog Search on Windows NetVault Backup Client host. (NVBU-18539)
•
Added support to migrate Catalog Search database to different Windows-based client machine. (NVBU-18539)
•
Added support to migrate Windows NetVault Backup Server from Hybrid to Pure 64 bit environment. (NVBU-17678)
•
Added support to fetch domain users details from LDAP Server for Linux Platform. (DNAD-1125)
•
Added support to search Domain User Groups on Windows and Linux system. (DNAD-939)
•
Added support for NAS Filer backup and restore operations using NDMP protocol on QoreStor repository using NetVault Backup Server. (DNR3-730)

Added support for QoreStor to take a backup of Solaris client and AIX client. (DNR3-758), (DNR3-759)

Added support to browse backups and sets using Incremental Consolidate Plug-in from NetVault Backup Client and NetVault Backup Server in Managed Service Providers (MSP) environment.

Added support to expire its corresponding snapshot when a saveset expires from Dell Enterprise Manager and Huawei OceanStor Device Manager

Added support to make the domain user details non editable in secure mode.
