After the last user has migrated to the new Exchange server, you run the MNE Groups Provisioning Wizard to provision the Notes groups into Active Directory as distribution groups. Groups information was extracted from the Domino source and copied into the SQL database using the MNE Directory Export Wizard.

If appropriate, you can also configure ongoing directory synchronizations between the source and target directories. When the users and groups are migrated, you can permanently update mail routing to direct external incoming (Internet) mail to Exchange and remove the smart hosts that were used to route mail internally.

Finally, if you no longer need the Notes/Domino environment, verify that the old Domino server is no longer processing any mail traffic, delete the temporary migrate.domain.com domain, and decommission the Domino server.
