Displaying the upgrade log

To display the upgrade log:

From the main menu, select Advanced Options.

Select Update Software, then Display Upgrade Log.

The upgrade status appears.

Select OK to return to the Update Software.

Testing network settings

Whenever you add or change network settings, the Console Program automatically tests connections to the Control Port IP Address and the Gateway IP Address. You can run this test at any time for troubleshooting purposes. For more information, see Specifying network settings.

To test network settings:

From the main menu, select Advanced Options.

Select Test Network Settings.

A status screen displays the test progress.

When the test ends, review the results and note any connectivity issues.

Select OK to return to the Advanced Options.

Stopping and starting processes

You can stop and start processes from the Advanced Options. These actions are generally reserved for troubleshooting purposes.

Reviewing the appliance system details and health status

For both virtual and physical appliances, you can find out the version numbers and build number for software installed on the appliance, as shown in the following image.

For physical appliances, you can also view the Dell Service Tag (located on the back of the Dell appliance), detailed RAID array status, and detailed appliance health information such as the appliance’s temperature and battery status.

To display the system status:

From the main menu, select Advanced Options.

Select More Advanced Options, then Display System Information.

The System Status screen appears.

Review the appliance information, using the arrow keys to scroll down if necessary.

When you are done, select OK.
