Stat has a feature called 'Object Control' which only allows the user to add an object at a specific status of the workflow. As a result, the add object will be greyed out if the user is in a workflow status that does not allow the object to be added.
Below are the steps to find out whether or not this functionality is enabled (5.7.x):
1. Go to Maintenance | Domain Specific | Workflow
2. Locate the workflow that the CSR is using and look for the column called obj control. If this option is checked then this functionality is enabled.
3. Double-click on the workflow | right-click at the workflow status and select the status rule. If the option to allow object add/lock is not checked then the read CSR, read the project, and add object will be greyed out at that particular status of the workflow.
Notes: If you do not want to use this feature then the obj control option needs to be unchecked at the workflow level. Changes will be effective on the new CSR.
In the newer version (Stat 6.3) the Object Control has been moved to the Status Workflow level.
