run this SQL in "Tools-->SQL WorkSheet" and tell us the result:
select @@version
If the output will come back as Adaptive Server Enterprise/12.5.3a...
that means that this is patched version of database with letter "a" at the end and it is causing Optimizer to fail with above error.
This will be fixed in a future release.
