Is it possible to replicate just certain columns? Also, is it possible to replicate between non-identical column names?

It is possible to replicate specific columns and also to replicate between non-identical column names. This is done through vertical replication. Vertical replication allows you to specify which column names in a table to replicate to which column names on target.
This procedure is fully described in the SharePlex® For Oracle Administrator's Guide chapter: Configuration for vertically partitioned replication.
Note: Vertical replication does not support UDTs in Shareplex 5.1.
