Error: Provider 'NVBUScheduleset' failed pop-up message appears when setting up a restore job with the schedule field.

NetVault Server: Upgraded from 9.2 to 10.0.1.38 Windows 2012 VM.

Whenever a restore or backup job was created, clicking on the Schedule item would always produce a blue pop-up error message:

Error: Provider 'NVBUScheduleset' failed

The webservice worker process 3486 in the trace produced a LIB_REP_SEND_TABLE_MSG from the scheduler process and reports this error:

At the same time the scheduler trace would produce this error:

WEBUI requests a ScheduleSet table from Scheduler which further loads the table field from /reports/fields/schedules.
Starting with 10.x, it should load one additional field called 'autocreated', but this field wasn't in the trace.

Please check the <Netvault Home>\reports\fields\schedulesfields file, that it has the following stanza:

[field:autocreated]

If not, please add following stanza at the end of this file, by stopping the NetVault Service in the Configurator first and then restarting NetVault Service after the change has been made:

In this instance a Change Request Bug 28552 had been created for the following reason:

Starting with 10.x, new field 'autocreated' was already added to the /Reports/Fileds/schedulesfields file. This file is used to load the fields for 'schedules' table.

Since new files are copied to the default Reports directory, code is reading files from user-defined location which still had old files without this new 'autocreated' file.

This missing field is causing schedules to load and ultimately the restore operation fails.

Note - autocreated filed is missing from the list of fields above.

Perform the following steps to resolve this issue:

1. Stop the NetVault service.
2. Make a backup copy of 'D:\NetVault-Reports' (example of where the reports were moved to in the NetVault Backup 9.2 Conigurator > General > Reports section).
3. Copy contents of 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Quest Software\NetVault Backup\Reports\' and paste in 'D:\NetVault-Reports'.
4. Start the NetVault service.
5. Perform the restore operation.
