How to Migrate a Specific Archive File for a User in MNE (4380141)

A user has multiple archive files listed in their directory export, and the admin wants to migrate only one of those archives using Quest Notes Migrator for Exchange (MNE). Attempting to proceed without modification results in all detected archives being included in the migration.

The ArchivePaths column in the user’s directory export file contains multiple archive file paths separated by a pipe (|) character. MNE will attempt to process all listed paths unless explicitly instructed otherwise.

Example:

\\server\data\arch1.nsf | \\server\data\arch2.nsf | \\server\data\user\archive_jdoe.nsf

To migrate only one specific archive file:

1. Open your directory export file used for the migration (typically a CSV or TSV file).

2. Locate the row for the user in question.

3. In the ArchivePaths column, remove all paths except the one you wish to migrate.

   Example:
   

   \\server\data\arch1.nsf | \\server\data\arch2.nsf | \\server\data\user\archive_jdoe.nsf

   Updated:

    

   \\server\data\arch2.nsf

4. Save the updated file and re-import it into the MNE migration project.

5. Verify the changes in the MNE console to ensure only the intended archive appears.

6. Proceed with the migration of the selected archive file.
