When connecting MessageStats to the Exchange Organization, the error "Unable to connect to Exchange organization" is returned. Several error events show in the log, including "An error occurred while determining if the Exchange server was version 5.5".
This can be caused if you are attempting to use a clustered mailbox server as your connect to server, but have specified a single nodes server name as apposed to the virtual server name of the Exchange cluster.
Specify the netbios name of the Exchange cluster, rather than the hostname of a single cluster node.
