How to Create Additional Task Execution Servers

1. Add the MessageStats service account to the local administrators group on the new server
2. If applicable, disable UAC on the new server
3. Download and install MAPI+CDO on the new server: 

Note: Please ensure there are no firewalls between the MessageStats server and the new Task Execution server

1. If gathering against Exchange 2010, 2013, please install PowerShell 2.0
2. Run the MessageStats installer on the new server: Microsoft Exchange Server MAPI Client and Collaboration Data Objects 1.2.1 March 2014 Update
3. Select Custom install and select only Task Processors and click Next
4. Enter the name for the MessageStats Reports server and MessageStats Scheduler service (if the reports are installed on the same server as the MessageStats server then enter the same name for both) and click Next
5. Select Share the application log folder and click Next
6. Enter the MessageStats Service account and click Install
7. Click Finish
8. From the MessageStats server open the MessageStats console, right click Task Execution Servers and select Refresh
9. Expand the Task Execution Servers node, right click the name of the new Task Execution server and select Properties
10. Select the Task Logging Archive tab
11. Enable archiving and set the number of Months to Keep to 1
12. Click OK
