When I try to install Toad, I get the following error.
The file C:\WINDOWS\system32\mfc42.dll could not be opened. Please check that your disk is not full and that you have access to the destination directory. Access is denied.
WORKAROUND 1:
Windows Installer Service could be corrupted. Re-install Windows Installer and/or download and install the latest version of Windows Installer.
WORKAROUND 2:
Use Windows MSCONFIG to limit the start up items:
1. Click on Start | Run
2. Type msconfig and click OK
3. On the General tab, select the Selective Startup radio button
4. Uncheck Load Startup Items
5. Click on Apply
6. Click on Close
7. Click on Restart to reboot the PC
8. Once the PC is back up, continue installation as normal
9. Run msconfig and check Load Startup Items and reboot
As System Admin may have to be contacted to open MSCONFIG.
