The ratio Microsoft standard check for Exchange server to global catalog server is 4:1.
This ratio is for 32bit Domain Controllers.
For environments with 64bit Domain Controllers the Microsoft best practise ratio is 8:1.
How can the scheduled analysis test be modified?
This can be configured in the scheduled task "Verify Site configuration test".
In the Topology Viewer select the servers to run the test on.
Click "Verify Site configuration"
Select either "run once" or "schedule test with advanced options" | Click "ok"
On this screen you can choose to change the ratio for GC to Exchange server.
Tick the box "Exchange Server to Global Catalog ratio has been exceeded"
Enter "8" in the ratio box. (Or another ratio for alternate configuration).
Click "ok".
