<Backup\Replication> task fails with error message "host <hostname or IP address of ESX/ESXi host> is not licensed for the <Backup\Replication> feature."

Possible Causes

1. Trial license expired
2. After importing license file, the correct hosts were not licensed

Trial License Expired

1. Navigate to https://support.quest.com/LicenseKey.aspx and request a license file. Follow the steps in the next section to verify proper licnesing.
2. If you have not purchased a license then contact sales@quest.com to get a quote.

Correct Host Licensing

1. In vRanger, go to Tools | Options | Licensing | Virtual machine hosts, and make sure that the Backup\Replicaiotn box is checked for the correct host(s).
