Installing This Hotfix/Patch
To install this hotfix/patch:
Installing the Device Template File (pch_Hitachi10-2-1-0-0.npk)

- From the machine acting as the NetVault Server, launch the GUI and access the Client Management window by clicking either of the Client Management buttons in the command toolbar (or select the Client Management command from the Administration pull-down menu).
- Right-click on the NetVault machine configured as the Backup Server in the Clients frame and select Install Software from the pop-up menu.
- Navigate to the location of the Template file software (i.e., the “hpul400.npk” file). Select the file and click on Open to begin the installation process.
- Once installation has completed, a successful installation message will appear in the Install Software dialog box.
- With this, the template software has been successfully installed and the device or filer can now be successfully added to the NetVault Server for use.
Determining if This Hotfix/Patch Is Installed
To determine if this hotfix/patch is installed:
- From the machine acting as the NetVault Server, launch the GUI and access the Client Management window by clicking either of the Client Management buttons in the command toolbar (or select the Client Management command from the Administration pull-down menu).
- Right-click on the NetVault machine configured as the Backup Server in the Clients frame and select Properties from the pop-up menu.
- Click on the Installed Software Tab.
- Look for the Hitachi HNAS BOS 10.0.x Support Pack description to verify installation.
Removing This Hotfix/Patch
To remove this hotfix/patch:
- From the machine acting as the NetVault Server, launch the GUI and access the Client Management window by clicking either of the Client Management buttons in the command toolbar (or select the Client Management command from the Administration pull-down menu).
- Right-click on the NetVault machine configured as the Backup Server in the Clients frame and select Remove Software from the pop-up menu.
- Click on the Hitachi HNAS BOS 10.0.x Support Pack.
- Select Remove to complete the removal process.
