- Under Create Restore Job select the VM to restore.
- Click the Actions button and select Rename
- In the Rename/Relocate dialog box, complete both fields (required):
• Rename: Enter the new name.
• Relocate: Enter the new full path. If you are recovering clustered VMs, make sure that the path is part of the cluster.
- Click Ok.
- Click Edit Plugin Options and choose between:
• Recover entire VM to host and/or cluster
or
• Restore VM disks and configuration files to working directory.
If you do not want to remove the restored files under the Working Directory after a successful recovery, clear the Delete restored VM copy from working directory after recovery option as this is selected by default.
Note:
If your environment uses Windows Server® 2008 R2 and you use the Rename feature, the recovery does not include network adapters that the VM backup included, you will have to use Hyper-V® Manager to add the network adapters.
