While using VMware plugin version 10.0.5.6 to restore a VM using the rename option, the restore job fails with:
Failed to open virtual disk
Failed to restore VM disk data
Context:
VDDK :05132 36 0 71552 Failed to open vmdk
VDDK :05132 138 0 71552 VDDK error encountered: code 4
VDDK :05132 52 0 71552 VDDK error message is 'A file was not found'
LOGGING :05132 14 0 71552 'Failed to open virtual disk'
원인

This is a defect investigated in Bug 28961.
The fonctions to create and reconfigure the VM are sent without VMDKs included.
Also the presence of an existing snapshot would also cause this.
해결 방안

This issue has been resolved in Vmware plugin version 10.0.5.7.
