KACE SMA 13.1 Critical Upgrade Available (Non-Security)
설명
A bug, K1-34073, was discovered after the General Availability (GA) release of KACE SMA 13.1, which can cause the appliance to become unusable over time.
The upgrade to 13.1 included several updates to software components which are not developed by Quest (“Third-Party Components”). Quest Support became aware of an issue introduced by an update to one of these components, which will eventually cause a system failure due to exceeding the capacity of a disk partition. This issue takes time to manifest and cause issues, depending upon multiple factors, however it is difficult and time consuming to recover from.
The KACE team has developed a fix for this issue, which will prevent it from manifesting – as well as clean up any existing related issues.
An upgrade to 13.1.79 will address the issue immediately. All 13.1.73 and 13.1.74 users should plan this update as soon as possible to minimize downtime.
Affected versions: 13.1.73; 13.1.74
해결 방안
SMA version 13.1.79 has been tested and released to address this stability issue. We recommend that all customers apply this upgrade to all KACE SMA instances that their organization may have. The issue potentially affects any SMA-Family appliance, and it is our recommendation that all customers upgrade to 13.1.79 immediately.
Upgrade is applicable to the following versions: 13.0.383; 13.1.73; 13.1.74
Note: Applying the upgrade will require and automatically initiate one or more appliance restarts, as necessary, depending on the pre-upgrade version.
