Upcoming KACE Systems Management Appliance 15.0 Feature Preview release (4306615)

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming KACE SMA 15.0 Feature Preview release. 

The Feature Preview release is an optional upgrade, available for those who want to be the first to experience and benefit from our fantastic new features. Feature Preview participants will also be able to contribute to KACE’s product development, by providing valuable feedback for our Product and Development teams, assisting them in their continuous improvement missions.

This feature is offered as a pre‑GA preview with limited support and may change before general availability. Use with caution, and ensure you have a complete backup—especially for production instances—as reverting to a GA release may be required if issues occur.

KACE SMA 15.0 release FAQ: 

1. Can the KACE SMA 15.0 Feature Preview be downloaded on a dev or test environment?
   Although we highly advise running the preview on a production environment for a more realistic usage experience, it can also be downloaded on a dev or test environment for your convenience. Make sure to check “Enable beta notifications from Kace” to be able to receive the update on the desired appliance.
   
   
2. Is the KACE SMA 15.0 Feature Preview a full upgrade?
   Yes, though this upgrade is completely optional, once applied the system will be upgraded and the new features, enhancements and resolved issues will be fully available on the system.
   Downgrade is not supported, for which we recommend making sure proper backups are taken and offboarded prior to applying the update if running on production. 4. What happens when KACE SMA 15.0 GA release is available?
   Please upgrade your appliance to the GA version at your earliest convenience. Preview updates will not be supported 30 days after general release becomes available.

Please note there may be multiple preview updates advertised before general release. Please make sure to perform these upgrades at your earliest convenience if running on production. 

      5. Interested in immediately leveraging the KACE SMA 15.0 updates?

To gain access to the Feature Preview release, the KACE SMA must be on the latest version 14.1.103 and simply check “Enable pre-release notifications from KACE” within the Settings menu (Control Panel > General Settings> General Options tab).        

Once the KACE SMA Feature Preview release is ready to roll, you will receive a notification within your appliance, so you can apply the update at your convenience.
