When harvesting a large erwin data model we are getting the error :
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: GC overhead limit exceeded
This is clearly a Memory issue; is there any workaround to adjust the Memory usage for Web Portal?
Solution:
There are three areas that may be adjusted:
a) Edit the conf. properties file.
\\Web Portal installation directory\erwinMetadataManagement\conf\conf.Properties
change:
M_JAVA_OPTIONS= -Xmx4G
or even larger =-Xmx8G
b) increase the setup. bat file Max Mem to 8GB or larger ( default is 4GB)
C) In the Import setup. add the parameter in the Misc field:
