Attempting to apply the license after installation produces the following error message on the console of the machine where the application is installed:
"The following error was encountered while attempting to load the license file: The system cannot find the path specified. [3]"
The console where the application is installed is a terminal server. By default, all users logged onto a terminal server are in execute mode. In order to apply the license file, the terminal server will need to be in Install mode.
Switch the server into Install mode to apply the license and then switch the server back to Execute mode after the license is successfully installed.
To manually change the mode on a terminal server from Execute to Install, the following steps can be taken:
Select Start | Run and type cmd
Type C:\>change user /install
To manually change the mode back from Install back to Execute, the command would simply be:
C:\>change user /execute
Once the license file is successfully applied by the Administrator in Install mode, users connecting to the machine via terminal services sessions from other machines will have no issues.
