A customer received alarms for DBSS - Page Splits and DBSS - Table Locks.
Both of these Foglight alarms fire when the number of events exceeds a threshold but not the detail that the customer is seeking.
Does Performance Analysis (PA) provide the detail to see the events themselves such as the table with the page splits and the table escalated to table locks?
The number of page splits per second, 15.57, is greater than or equal to the page splits threshold, which is 5.00.
SQL Server is escalating locks to the table level at the rate of 1 per second.
There is no direct relation between a lock and a page split, as a split is initiated from a write operation to a page, unless it is a page lock because a split had occurred.
The page splits is a counter, hence, one cannot see which table had a split.
