Duplicate host entry keeps coming back even after deleting from Data Management or via groovy script (4240514)

A particular host has 2 entries in the Hosts dashboard, one being monitored fine and one without metrics. Attempts to delete the agent, remove from data management, ran delete and merge groovy scripts, did not help fix the issue.

The two host objects have different systemID generated by the Foglight Agent Manager (FglAM) and Infrastructure (IC) agent. This can be seen when looking at the 2 Host objects' properties from Script Console.

WORKAROUND 1:

If not already installed, please upgrade to Foglight 5.6.4 and set the "Collect System ID" for the UnixAgent properties to "False".

WORKAROUND 2:

1. Stop the FglAM.
   
2.  Modify the  baseline.jvmargs.config/vm.config file and set an unused vmparameter variable with the lowest number to the following value:  
   "-Dquest.glue.disable.performancemonitor=true"
   
   Following are the paths to the baseline.jvmargs.config file and the vm.config file:   %FGLAM_HOME%\state\default\config\baseline.jvmargs.config  
   %FGLAM_HOME%\state\default\config\vm.config
   
   For example if vmparameter.0 and vmparameter.1 are already being used for JRE settings but vmparameter.2 is not being used you can add the following line to the baseline.jvmargs.config file:
   vmparameter.2 = "-Dquest.glue.disable.performancemonitor=true";
   
3. Save the file.
   
4. Start the FglAM.

Waiting for fix in a future release of Foglight for workaround 1.
