A workstation has been added to a collection using the source FQDN and moved to the target domain, but with some warnings. When attempting to view logs by right-clicking the workstation and selecting the corresponding option, the error "system cannot find the file specified" is returned.
The Resource Updating Manager stores the log file for each workstation under %Program Files%\Common Files\Aelita Shared\Migration Tools\Resource Updating\Logs\ in a subfolder that corresponds to the name of the workstation. If a workstation has been added using the FQDN, for example workstation1.source.org, the folder name with logs would be %Program Files%\Common Files\Aelita Shared\Migration Tools\Resource Updating\Logs\workstation1.source.com\.
After a successful move to the target domain, the FQDN in the user interface would change to the target domain, for example workstation1.target.org.
When attempting to view the logs, RUM tries to open the logs from %Program Files%\Common Files\Aelita Shared\Migration Tools\Resource Updating\Logs\workstation1.target.org\, which does not yet exist until new tasks have been performed.
To access the logs for the activity performed using the old FQDN, open the corresponding folder under Resource Updating\Logs\ using Windows explorer, or rename the subfolder to match to the workstation name currently displayed in user interface.
This is a know issue in QMM 8.8. A change request has been submitted for consideration to fix this issue in future releases of QMM.
