When clicking on the Cross-Connection Query Builder tool, the error below is immediately received.
ERRORS:
"There was a connect error. Check that the username and password are correct, that you have registered this user using the registration hub, and that the registered user has not been disabled.”
“Unable to connect to any of the specified Cross Query hosts."
“The requested address is not valid in its context 127.0.0.1:0”
The regular Query Builder works fine. If user drags one table from a different database platform, Toad hangs.
Permissions Issue.
RESOLUTION 1:
Permissions are needed to execute the MySQL executable.
RESOLUTION 2:
If this is occurring on a Windows 2008 web server, the error can occur if the web server is without the Microsoft Visual C++
2008 Redistributable Package (x86) install.
Please download and install it from the link: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=29 and then re-test in Toad.
RESOLUTION 3:
Turn off the Windows User Account Control (UAC):
1) Go to Windows Start menu | under the Search field | type: UAC
2) Move the slider bar to the lowest (disable notifications or never notify)
3) Restart your computer and then re-test the issue.
