SmartDisk is out of space, but there is additional storage that can be used to create another volume to add for SmartDisk to use.
The SmartDisk volume add command is as follows:
..\foundation\bin\smartdisk.bat config --add --volume \mnt\<newNVSDvolume>
The easiest way is to issue a single command with multiple options that will set everything up at once when adding the volume, specifying whether you'd like the new volume to be used exclusively for Staging, Storage, both or neither.

Below is an example of a volume add command that will add a new volume named "X:\Stage", allowing it to only be used for Staging, but not for actual deduplicated Storage.
..\foundation\bin\smartdisk.batconfig --add --volume X:\Stage --pool NewStaging --favour Staging –deny "Chunk Index" --deny "Disk Index" --deny Storage
