Steps to reproduce the issue:
1. Open the user’s person document in the Domino directory and set the forwarding address in person document making sure that the internet address is also present.
2. Open the mail file of another internal user through iNotes.
3. Try sending a mail to an external user with the user with the forwarding address marked in the cc field.
4. You will find that instead of the internet address, the external user sees the forwarding address in Cc
This issue has been reproduced by IBM and has been documented as a software problem report (SPR# VNTR8RC6UP). It is currently reproducible in Lotus Domino 8.5.2/8.5.3.
