Is there a way to turn off the SQL Server trace?
The "Deadlock Data" collection executes a SQL Trace as a part of our normal collections. The stored procedure sp_trace_getdata is used by SQL profiler to its trace and return the results to the application.
Beginning in the 188.8.131.52 and higher SQL Server cartridges, the deadlock collection has primarily changed to use Extended Events rather than SQL traces. The ability to use SQL Traces still remains in the cartridge as a fallback collection and to maintain compatibility for SQL Server 2008.
Disable the Deadlock Data collection through the following
Upgrade the SQL Server cartridge to 184.108.40.206 or higher to use the Extended Events as the primary means to collect Deadlock data.
If the user doesn’t go to the dashboard then the trace would sit in the background having very minimal impact.
