WORKAROUND:
You can try and add “nv*” processes, “NetVault Backup”, “BakBone Software” and “Quest Software” items into the Antivirus Trusted Application entries (Exclusions list).
Below is a list of NVBU process that are run during the backup that you can add to the antivirus exclusion list.
NetVault Backup processes

Alternatively within the backup Advanced Options tab you can use the Pre and Post Script entries i.e. use a Pre script to stop the AntiVirus Software (AV) before that backup starts and then use a Post Script to start the AV once the backup finishes.
Further information is from the NetVault Administrators Guide:
Configuring pre- and post-script options

The customer chose for the Pre and Post Script method, and this was working fine for the Pre Script.
Unfortunally, the Post Script that the customer was using did nothing i.e. there was no Kaspersky icon in the Taskbar on the bottom right hand side.
This was the Post Script entry:
@echo off
"C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows
Servers MP4\avp.com"
The customer had placed these two lines in a cmd file, and when it was run manually, the application starts as intended.
When the script is run automatically after the backup job the customer could see the "running script" after the backup completes,
Eventually shows the Kaspersky icon in the Taskbar on the right hand side after a minute or so.
So the solution was just to wait a while until the Kaspersky icon appears.
If the icon doesn't appear after a long time, then I would advise to create a case with Kaspersky and / or with Microsoft, to see if there is anything that needs to be amended and / or added to the post script etc...
