Customer detected that valuable hard disk space has been consumed by vWorkspace logfile(s).
Usually, logging is enabled during troubleshooting session and needs to be stopped as soon as problem has been corrected. Logging features are not enabled by default and may slowdown normal workflow. There's no harm to delete logfiles on the fly.
Some logfiles are enabled using GUI in various vWorkspace modules while others can be enable only through the registry modifications. Please contact Quest vWorkspace Tech Support for more details regarding specific logfile and how to stop further logging.
Warning: some logfiles tend to grow really fast (for example broker logs), depending on environment size and network activity. Having such logfile, filling up disk space on the system drive may cause OS to be unbootable.
Please note that SQL database logfile (LDF) is a completely separate feature. Please do not delete this logfile and consult your DBA for more information. SQL logfile should be flushed after successful SQL database backup, so if the LDF file grows exponentially it may indicate issue with the SQL backup operation.
vWorkspace SQL database can utilize a Simple recovery mode for its SQL database which should keep LDF file small.
