Unable to open Knowledge Xpert, when clicking on Advisories within Performance Analysis. No error message appears.
This is a known issue with Performance Analysis for Oracle.
Please replace ODA.rev with the attached one (ODA.rev is located at c:\Program Files\Quest Software\Performance Analysis\Oracle\QuestAdvisory)
1) Close PA
2) Rename ODA.rev for backup
3) Place the attached ODA.rev in same place
4) Run PA and see if the issue can be reproduced.
If the same issue is still see after doing the above, then please do the following:
Close PA
Go to "My computer" right click and select "Properties".
Go to "Advanced" tab and click "Environment Variables".
Under "User Variables" add the following variables:
Variable Name Value
PA_LOG_LEVEL EXTENDED
PA_LOG_QUERIES YES
PA_STACK_TRACE YES
Press OK button to apply the changes
Go to "C:\Documents and Settings\<User name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Quest Software\Performance Analysis 6.0\Services\<Service Name>\Log\" and delete all the log files.
Launch PA and try to recreate the problem with going to Advisories.
Go again to the GUI log folder above. Zip all the files in this folder and create a new service request.
