Description: Changes that have to be made to prevent CLI-based Informix jobs from hanging
Symptoms: You initiate an Informix CLI backup or restore job using onbar. The job successfully gets submitted to NetVault and starts, but then just hangs in a state of "Writing". GUI backup jobs work.
When a job is run from the GUI, the processes are owned by root. When they are initiated from Onbar, they most likely are not. This will lead to a problem if the NetVault temp folder is not writable by this user (you can check the location of temp in nvconfigurator -> General). NetVault can't write the index, and unfortunately the Informix plugin doesn't report this and instead just hangs. Trace will show

To resolve this, change the permissions on your NetVault temporary folder. On Unix, chmod 777 will probably be easiest.
